Today is a special day. I have been waiting for months now for the release of this cigar. I first saw the promotional videos for the cigar over the summer and my buddy, Dusty Muffins and I have just been waiting in anticipation ever since. Well, its not released yet but I was given one specifically to review by George down at Penn Ohio Cigar Co. and even though I am still trying to get past reviews done and posted, I am halting those to type this out now. Brothers and Sisters of the leaf, I present, The White Label by Rocky Patel.

Holy shit does this cigar look and smell sexy. I mean, where do I even start. It has a stunning, slightly oily Connecticut Shade wrapper grown in the Connecticut River Valley around the Hartford area. This thing just looks creamy as it just sits here on my stand glistening the sunlight. Inside is a succulent blend of Nicaraguan binder and tobaccos from Honduras, Nicaragua and there is also a Undisclosed tobacco. Which is good because I am not normally a fan of mild cigars. I feel that these fillers should and some whoop ass to this stick.

The aroma is just fantastic. Notes of rich musty leather and a splash of cedar chips. The dry draw is just splendid producing similar notes to the aroma with a hint of blackberries. But the most stunning point of all is the banding. A wonderful white label with a stunning amount of rose gold lettering and design and there is a shinny white ribbon at the foot that really ties it all together.

But now, It’s show time. I just fired it up and what an amazing start. My pallet is just smacked around with notes of old leather and a velvety earth tone. There is also a burst of black pepper that adds a kick to a medium bodied cigar. Halfway through the first third, a buttery texture arrives that truly makes one salivate even more than I was before. There is a touch of prunes that comes into play and I get into the 2nd third. The leather still stands strong and the creaminess is just perfect. The black pepper dies off a bit about part way through the 2nd third but wonderful notes of blue berries and a sweet note come in. As I head into the final third, a touch of Anise and walnuts make their way in to the mix. The Anise is short lived nut the berries hold their place. As I approach the end of the cigar, a touch of almonds appears but soon disappears.

I have to say, This cigar is nothing like I thought it would be. It is waaaaay better. It is a creamy medium cigar that is loaded with jet fuel. All of the tobaccos work in harmony with one another rather than it just be a bold mix with a light tasting wrapper. I am truly impressed and excited to purchase more when they release. Outstanding!
