So, today we dive into the Partagás 1845. Now a little background on this cigar, this is not part of the Cuban brand which is the original and was established in Havana in 1845. This is the cigar that’s tied with the general cigar company. Following the Cuban revolution, Ramón Cifuentes Toriello, was offered a job heading up Cubas New state owned tobacco monopoly. He refused and immigrated from Cuba to the United States. After working for many years in the cigar industry, he launched the brand Partagás and Bolivar cigars with the general Cigar company out out of Denmark which was a division of the Scandinavian tobacco group. In 1978, they obtained a trademark for the American market. Given that the Cuban tobacco ban is still to this day affecting Cuban cigars from entering the United States, this is as close as we’re going to get.

Partagás delivers are you consistently balanced Cigar time after time. They are often referred to as the richest Cigars in the world, but now, the 1845 extra Fuerte is introduced as part of the new face of Partagás 1845. disregard was crafted with wonderful dominican And nicaraguan And Filthy Lowe’s and it is “in a very dark and potent honduran wrapper and has a binder that is a US Havana. The 1845 from what I’ve been able to read, packs a huge kick in the nuts when it comes to flavor.

Right when this kicks off you receive an extreme kick in the face with spice. And when I say spice, I mean SPICE. This shit is no joke. It is definitely a hefty, chewy and dense flavored cigar right from first light. But as the first third moves on there is a healthy amount of vanilla bean and Oakwood that is very nice. As we move into the second third, the spice is still kicking me right in the teeth and there are some wonderful notes of old leather and cedar chips. The vanilla bean is still present but it is very mild at this point. As we move into the final third, the leather tends to stand in the forefront as the vanilla bean is completely gone and the entire Cigar including the space has gotten almost too bold for me to handle. I did finish the cigar but next time I will definitely eat a full meal before enjoying the stick. Pretty damn tasty and if you are lookin
