After hearing a lot of good reviews about this particular Cigar, I decided to pick one up and give it a whirl. My god this thing looks spectacular. This one came from a new batch and it was very spongy so I aged it for about two months before I wrote this review. Right out of the gate it looks clean, classy with a sexy gold and brown label.

It has an authentic African Cameroon wrapper made this cigar look and smell phenomenal. Cigar aficionado deemed this the 11th best cigar in 2007. It is constructed with all Cuban seed and Nicaraguan Habano fillers and the aromas that are protruding from the cigar are sensational. Dark and nutty with some touch of earth.

Having done quite a bit of research on the cigar before I bought it, this will not be the only review I do from this company. They had some pretty stellar Cigars released and one of them actually went number one through cigar aficionado magazine. But getting back to this cigar, classic is all I can say.

As I rolled into the first third I tasted notes of coffee with some slight nuttiness. Halfway through the first third a slight black pepper appeared. it wasn’t enough space to deter me from wanting to smoke the rest of it, it was just the right amount of space that made it enjoyable. When that black pepper mixed with the nuttiness, it became heaven. In the second third there were notes of Oak with a touch of prunes. I’m also not a huge fan of Cameroon wrappers but this was actually quite tasty. The flavor pretty much stayed the same throughout the final third all the way till the end. Now, It says that this is a medium boldness Cigar, I would say I’d agree with that depending on what size cigar you purchase. I have the Robusto size but I also had a Churchhill size and it was a little bit bolder. This was a very clean, creamy and medium bold smoke that has me wanting to stock a few more in my humidor. I know that this brand makes other cigars and I am dying to try a few more. I also tried the maduro version of this, but that is for another review.
