Alec Bradley again? as I’ve stated in some of my other cigar reviews on this company, you were going to see quite a lot of them up here. I ordered a sampler pack of Alec Bradley cigars, another reason why you will see quite a few reviews for this company, This was one of them. The other four were a variety of good and tasty cigars and this one was no different. It was rated a 96 in 2011 and became cigar of the year through cigar aficionado magazine. not that I’m going to take anything away from the magazine or talk shit on them, but they are number one Cigar of the year is not something that I agree with. Nor do I agree with how they find their cigar of the year every year. But the one thing that I do take away from them that I like is how they blindly right there cigars. But that’s a story for another day, back to the cigar.

Now there are a couple of different versions of this cigar, this is the original Churchill. It has a beautiful Trojes Corojo wrapper from Honduras. It also has central American tobacco’s Nicaraguan and Honduran tobacco’s and more trojes. This car has an effortless draw and a very bold amount of flavors.

The First third produces very hefty notes of black pepper, mushrooms and some earth tones. It moves into a velvety leather flavor with some spicy undertones. in the second third the mushrooms start to die off and the black pepper becomes very subtle but some very interesting buttery notes come in to play as well as some bold coffee and a touch of red pepper flakes. The flavor stays relatively the same as we finish through the final third but by the by, it tastes absolutely phenomenal with a beautiful draw and earthy robust flavors with a nutty aroma. This is just a good cigar all around. I would expect nothing less from Alec Bradley.

This is where I get a little bit torn. I read the cigar aficionado review after I reviewed the cigar myself and I will say although it is a very good stick, I will disagree with a 96 rating. I gave it a 94, And Just in case some asshole out there decides to talk smack on me and how I read and review things, I will say this, I smoked five of these before I came up with that rating. still, fantastic f##ing Cigar. Just bought an entire box for my humidor.
